‘Vandals Disrespecting Canada’

November 24, 2017

“Montreal police are investigating after a statue of Sir John A. Macdonald in Montreal’s Place du Canada, was the target of vandals… A video posted to ‘Vimeo’ by user ‘A Fit Na’, shows the statue of Canada’s first prime minister being covered in red spray paint.

“The act of vandalism took place ahead of a large pro-hate, anti-‘white’ demonstration taking place in Montreal…

“A group has taken responsibility for the vandalism. In a statement posted online, an organization — referring to itself as a a group of anonymous local anti-colonial, anti-‘white’, anti-capitalist activists — has claimed responsibility for the vandalism.

“The group targeted the statue, arguing that Macdonald stands as a symbol of “colonialism, racism and ‘white’ supremacy”. (more…)

‘Political Correctness and Control Freaks Are Ruining Halloween’

November 3, 2017

“Canadian schools are wrestling with how to guide students and parents towards Halloween costumes that aren’t considered ‘offensive’ or ‘culturally insensitive’.

“In early October, a Canadian school board emailed a checklist “Is my costume appropriate?” to parents planning their children’s Halloween costumes. Fuschia Martians, mythical creatures, and animals got the all clear.

“On the what not to wear list for 31 October — cowboy and Indian costumes, slaves, terrorist, gypsy, Rastafarian and “urban ghetto resident”. (more…)

‘Wearing A Mask? No Service!’

October 18, 2017

“Quebec has adopted a law that would force Muslim women who wear a ‘niqab’ or ‘burka’ to uncover their faces to use public services.

“The legislation bans public workers — including doctors, teachers and daycare workers — as well as those receiving a service from the government, from wearing the niqab, burka or any other face covering. (more…)

‘Real Estate and Money Laundering in Canada’

September 30, 2017

When you don’t monitor money laundering {See below} – and when money is constantly crossing borders – this is one of the consequences:

“According to the ‘Royal Bank of Canada’, Canada’s housing affordability is worse today than at any time since 1990. Housing affordability has now declined for eight straight quarters.

The affordability crisis has slammed Toronto especially hard, with housing now less affordable in that city than at any time ever previously recorded. Efforts by the Ontario government to cool off the housing market have not shown immediate results when it comes to housing prices in the province.

“Despite Toronto’s troubles, Vancouver remains the most unaffordable place to buy a home in Canada…”

‘Government Lunacy in Canada’

June 27, 2017

“Forced speech is the most extreme infringement of free speech. It puts words in the mouths of citizens and threatens to punish them if they do not comply. When speech is merely restricted, you can at least keep your thoughts to yourself. Compelled speech makes people say things with which they disagree.”

“‘Bill C-16’ received Royal Assent June 19, passing into law a little over a year after Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould introduced it in the House of Commons.

“The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that everyone can live according to their gender identity and express their gender as they choose,” said Wilson-Raybould.

“The law adds ‘gender identity’ and ‘gender expression’ to the list of prohibited grounds in the ‘Canadian Human Rights Act’ and amends the ‘Criminal Code’ to protect ‘transgender’ and “gender diverse” Canadians from ‘hate speech’…”  (more…)

‘Capital Punishment in Canada’

June 5, 2017

“Capital punishment existed in various forms in Canada until 1998, when the federal government completely abolished the death penalty…

“Before 1859, Canada (then British North America) operated under British law. Some 230 offences, including stealing turnips and being found disguised in a forest {!?!}, were punishable by death.

“By 1865, only murder, treason and rape were still considered capital offences…  (more…)

‘Activists Behind Illegal Camps’

May 24, 2017

This politically-designed camp by people from outside our community was set up for the media. It’s not a response to the true need of the local population.

This travelling circus is dangerous to those both inside and near it – we’re going to move Heaven and Earth to shut it down before anyone gets hurt.”

“Two B.C. municipalities were in court last week, trying to get injunctions against new tent camps that are trying to get established in their communities. (more…)

‘Government Aiding Hard Drug Dealers’

May 15, 2017

‘Vancouver’s drug strategy has been a disaster. Be very wary of emulating it’:

“Last week, Edmonton city hall voted 10-1 in favour of building not just one “safe consumption” site for drugs, but four of them — all within walking distance of one another in one of the city’s lowest-income urban districts.

“The decision was made despite the fact that more than 80% of Edmonton’s fentanyl-related overdoses are occurring in the suburbs — well beyond the reach of the new facilities. The move also ignores fervent pleas from locals, who claim that approving four drug consumption sites will be a death sentence for their already-chaotic and drug-ridden neighbourhood.

“And honestly, it’s hard to see how the locals are wrong. While the strategy of harm reduction can indeed save the lives of addicts in the short term, it can destroy communities if used in isolation.

“These unhappy results can be seen a province away. Vancouver is into its second decade of dealing with an injected-drug crisis. The city has been concentrating more and more services in its Downtown Eastside. The result? Everything seems to be getting worse (more…)

‘Undermining Our Culture’

May 10, 2017

“Had to post this. I think disappointed is an understatement. This will be the first year that we don’t get gifts crafted with love from our kids, and since we only have one little one now, it makes it all that much worse. I don’t understand why we, as Canadians, need to give up our traditions that have been passed through generations. I welcome all races and ethnicities, but forcing us to give up things that are important to us as Canadians is crap. And it doesn’t even have anything to do with religion! You can’t celebrate your Mom and Dad?”

— Roy Glebe

“A school in Canada has cancelled Mother’s Day, sending students home with a note to explain why. The note, which was given to Grade One and Two students at Albert McMahon Elementary School, Mission, British Columbia, revealed the school body made a decision to not celebrate Mother’s or Father’s Day this year.

“The note explained that the decision had been made in a bid to ensure that all students, including those without traditional nuclear families, felt ‘positive’ about their own family arrangements, whatever they may entail. (more…)

‘Greenpeace Finally Held To Account’

March 3, 2017

‘Greenpeace’ first came to prominence in Canada; therefore, it’s only fitting that what could be the beginning of its downfall is also occurring there:

“‘Greenpeace’, after repeated attacks against Canada’s biggest forest products company for “destroying” Canada’s boreal forests, now says that it was merely stating an opinion about the logging activity, not a fact. {!}

“After years of weathering attacks on its forestry practices, Montreal-based ‘Resolute Forest Products Inc.’ last year sued Greenpeace in United States District Court in Georgia under racketeering statutes, alleging that Greenpeace’s repeated attacks on Resolute, to raise money for Greenpeace, amount to criminal activity.
